Setup Matters

WiX v3.10.4 and WiX v3.11.1 are important security releases of WiX. We strongly encourage all users of WiX to upgrade to WiX v3.11.1. If you must remain on a WiX v3.10 release, we highly recommend upgrading to WiX v3.10.4.

As planned, today we discussed the latest WiX v3 security release release, or, less confusingly, the release of the latest WiX v3 security release. But first...

Today's meeting was extra exciting, as we got to discuss a potential security vulnerability and the effort to fix it.

This week's meeting contains an excellent example of getting things done. In addition to routine issue triage and Rob's fortnightly WiX v4 status report, Jacob got an issue near and dear to his heart on the agenda, we talked it over, and signed Jacob up to do all the work. We should do this more often!

This week we had a moderate number of bugs but almost all of them were "pre-triaged" by your hard-working WiX virtual team. Even so, the meeting was chock-full of news about WiX v4, a pull-request review, and news from yours truly about bugs.
