Setup Matters

Sean helped triage a multitude of v4 issues today, attending from the airport, mere minutes away from the start of a 14-hour reverse-time-travel adventure back to the United States. As we went to press, we can report he landed safely and is now a jet-lagged resident of the Northern Hemisphere.

Today's supersized meeting was spent triaging issues, almost all of which are about WiX v4. Next meeting, we'll get back to triaging open WiX v4.0 issues to prioritize them for Preview Zero (coming soon!) and later.

Today we mostly talked about WiX v4 and then did some unscheduled triage of which issues we want to tackle for the first preview of WiX v4.0.

Today we had not a single issue to triage so rather than making this installment of meeting highlights extra-simple for me to write, we decided to triage all the open WiX v3.x pull requests to see which we'd take in WiX v3.14, which we'd take in WiX v4.0, and which we won't take.

There was plenty to talk about at today's meeting, including talking about new ways we might want to handle discussions in the future.

Today's meeting was longer than normal because certain issues prompted extended discussion. The issues prompting extended discussion came from Sean. I'm sure it's a coincidence...
